The Blog:
When I decided to start this quest in creating my own mini masterpieces, my wonderful friend Diana suggested that I begin a blog. I thought this was a great idea to help categorize this fun, adventurous and delicious quest. I will blog each week about what type of cupcake I am making and my experience in baking and decorating. I will also be sharing my mini masterpieces with my friends, family and co-workers; so you will be able to see their comments on what they really thought about my cupcakes.

About Me:
My name is Mandy and this is my first blog. During the weekdays I have a normal clerical desk job but when at home in my free time I enjoy cooking, baking and eating. As I am sure you have guessed, I especially love baking and eating cupcakes. I enjoy cupcakes so much that my friends began to buy me cupcake baking and decorating books, and then this is where I got my Quest idea.
My Cupcake Quest:
The idea and goal behind my cupcake quest is that I would like to start my own small cupcake shop someday and create my own mini masterpieces; but before I can even think about that I need to get more familiar with baking different flavors of cupcakes and with decorating techniques with the different frostings.
So the Cupcake Quest is to bake and decorate once a week a different flavored cupcake. I will be beginning with simple recipes and work my way towards more difficult recipes. Meanwhile on my quest, I will also try to make the cupcakes look as delicious as they taste by perfecting decorating techniques, ultimately creating each week my very own Mini Masterpiece.
